Taverna Angelaki is a family business that started in 1992 and continues to this day to serve homemade, authentic flavors of Rhodian cuisine. Our philosophy is simple: pure ingredients, traditional recipes, and genuine hospitality.
We grow most of the products we use ourselves, from vegetables and herbs to the eggs from our own hens. Our cooked dishes are prepared in a traditional wood - fired oven, just like in the old days, and our grilled dishes are cooked over charcoal made from local wood, offering a taste and aroma of authenticity that is hard to find elsewhere.
Behind every dish is Mrs. Irini, the cook and hostess of Angelaki, who from early in the morning prepares all the food with love and passion. Her son, Dimitris Chatzifotis, takes care of the fields, tends the garden, goes fishing, and personally selects the fish and meat we serve. He is also responsible for the care of the chicken coops and the selection of the best meats, ensuring quality and freshness in every dish. |

In our taverna, we cook with pure ingredients from our own land, dishes cooked in the wood - fired oven and grilled over charcoal made from local wood.
Our garden is open to visitors and is a place of joy for both children and adults. Families can stroll through our garden beds, see how the vegetables grow, and admire the summer melons and watermelons we lovingly cultivate.
In 2003, during the great fire of Rhodes, our taverna was completely destroyed. With the help of the community, our friends, and the support of the local authorities, we managed to rebuild it from scratch, keeping unchanged the values and philosophy that have accompanied us since 1992.
Angelaki has now become one of the most beloved tavernas in Rhodes, with a reputation that has spread beyond the island. Our feature in the Aegean Airlines magazine for Rhodes is an honor and a confirmation of our dedication to quality and hospitality. |
